Electronic Network Cash Tellers, Inc. (ENCASH) is currently exerting effort to obtain certification for new Security Standards. This includes PCI-DSS or the Payment Card Industry (PCI) Data Security Standard (DSS) that must be followed when storing, processing, and transmitting customer ATM or credit card data. Demonstrating this commitment, ENCASH is upgrading its Transaction Processing (Switchware) software to Release 3.12, the PCI-DSS compliant version. You will find the PCI Certification on www.pcisecuritystandrads.org.
The PCI-DSS Certification Switchware will mean that ENCASH is embarking on ful l-compliance with the security standards design to mitigate fraud on our ATMs, systems and network.
Another critical step is the recently concluded VISA PIN Audit which evaluates ENCASH's equipment, technologies and processes used in our acquiring business. It tells us if there are weaknesses in our network and systems. Once the identified weaknesses are addressed, some of ENCASH's ATMs will be allowed by VISA to accept VISA card transactions. It will also mean that VISA International Cardholders will have the assurance that ENCASH has complied with the minimum standards set by VISA to mitigate fraud.
